Job Description

A regional affordable housing provider is seeking an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join their property services team.

About the Role

The Maintenance Surveyor will report directly into the Head of Property and be responsible for delivering an effective maintenance service to the organisation's tenants and housing stock. The successful incumbent will focus on damp and mould activity, completing property surveys, including inspections and diagnosis, while ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and statutory regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out responsive repair and voids inspections to ensure high-quality work meets customer needs.
  • Manage responsive and major works related to damp and mould projects, including service contracts from inception to completion.
  • Perform performance management of contractors delivering repairs and planned works projects/contracts.
  • Monitor contractors' delivery of programmes according to set timescales, analysing data and reporting on performance against key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • A minimum further education qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or relevant construction, maintenance, or building-related professional qualification.
  • Experience working in a busy Maintenance/Property team, managing compliance issues, and contract administration.
  • Sound knowledge of damp and mould and building contract law and legislation.

Salary Information

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
