Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at Skilled Careers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert technical and design support in building services engineering, overseeing mechanical or electrical projects, and ensuring client specifications are met while maintaining high-quality standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities:
Holds a degree in electrical or mechanical building services engineering (or equivalent experience)
Thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering and related disciplines
Proven track record in delivering building services designs across various sectors
Proficient in AutoCAD, NES, Cymap, and Microsoft Office
Must have a valid UK driving licence

Produce budgets and monitor project costs, ensuring they are delivered within the set budget and schedule

Provide electrical or mechanical engineering design for buildings and infrastructure projects
Monitor and manage project scope, schedule changes, and budgets
Represent the team in external meetings and ensure project objectives are met

Requirements:
Capability to manage small projects or work areas and predict future resource needs
Contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships
Act as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support
Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications and monitor spend to ensure that, as far as possible, projects are delivered within their budget and schedule. Liaise with the Client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
Monitor and address own training and development requirements
Compile specifications, drawings and relevant Contract documents and maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
Provide electrical or mechanical building engineering services design to buildings and infrastructure.
Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes.
Responsible for monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets for own areas.
Manages small projects, work area or technical skill set
Responsible for predicting and planning future resources, which may include setting up new projects and project plans
Responsible for the design/delivery of events, activities, processes, and /or projects which have a major impact on the management of the business: allocates tasks and coordinates activities
Responsible for the performance and development of others, providing guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback
