About the Position

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Utah State University invites applications for a position as either Lecturer or Professional Practice Assistant Professor at the Utah State University Eastern campus.

Job Summary

This is an academic year (nine-month), non-tenure track appointment focused on teaching (90% effort), with the possibility of summer teaching for additional compensation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach college-level mathematics courses at the Utah State University Eastern campus.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Participate in the operation and shared governance of the Department, the USU Eastern campus, and the University.
  • Contribute to the development of mathematics education programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics/Statistics Education, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 18 credit hours of graduate-level mathematics or statistics content.
  • A record of effectively teaching college-level mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in broadcast or online teaching.
