Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead Digital Pathology projects, supervising staff members and deputising for the Laboratory manager. They will maintain standard operating procedures and competency training documents, and develop and present reports at meetings. Accurate records of sample collection, transportation, and storage conditions must be maintained, and quality control measures implemented to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. UKAS standards must be adhered to and participation in internal and external quality assurance programs and audits is required.

Requirements:
A Degree in biomedical science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is required, along with current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist. A minimum of 3 years experience in Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Special stains, Embedding, Microtome, cutting sections is necessary, along with proficiency in a wide range of laboratory techniques. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and strong data analysis skills are also required.

Working Arrangements:
This role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 per annum, with performance-based annual increments. Competitive annual leave and the chance to work on exciting projects are also included.
