Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs to access education.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to children with special needs. Your duties will include:

  • Assisting children with their learning activities and promoting independence
  • Supporting children with autism, cerebral palsy, MLD, SpLD, or other SEN barriers
  • Working with pupils across all ages within the classroom to access their education
  • Providing positive reinforcement and encouragement to children to help them reach their full potential
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one
  • 2 checkable references
  • A positive attitude towards education and a desire to work with children
  • Good communication skills
  • A bright and high-energy personality
