About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Analytics & Innovation team at Three Ireland. As a Data Scientist, you will work with a wide range of interesting data sources to create datasets and engineer features, perform exploratory analyses and deep dives, build machine learning models & bespoke analytical solutions, and deploy them to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and work with large datasets to extract value and insights
  • Use statistical and data science techniques to explore data, identify patterns and trends and make recommendations to help with business decision-making
  • Process, join and analyse data sources to create features which feed into analytical and machine learning pipelines
  • Build, deploy and maintain predictive models and data science solutions
  • Manage, monitor and recalibrate models deployed to production
  • Optimise and automate workflows to scale existing processes
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights
  • Create dashboards to visualise insights for stakeholders
  • Research and implement new techniques in data science & artificial intelligence to make analytical solutions more impactful, scalable and accurate
Requirements
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science
  • Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning and data science principles
  • Experience in designing, building and deploying machine learning and forecasting models
  • Proven experience in Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos)
  • Experience using a version control system (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
  • Excellent project management skills, including communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Attention to detail and collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work independently and to take ownership of key responsibilities
