Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Specialist to join our team at Speedcast. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding, assisting, and supporting the procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, and warehouse/inventory control processes for the assigned country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Management: Organize the storage and distribution of all goods relating to Service Implementation, ensuring that the correct equipment has been received and the correct equipment is in the right place for the right project.
  • Inventory Control: Manage local warehouse stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Logistics Coordination: Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers regarding delivery and queries.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze logistical patterns and problems and produce solutions.
  • Receiving and Processing: Receive goods in and confirm receipt is correct to order. Input of goods received onto system.
  • Packing and Shipping: Packing and palletization of shipping goods.
  • Pre-Inspections: Co-ordination of pre-inspections.
  • Stock Movements: Coordination of stock movements (location to location).
  • Consumables Management: Maintain levels of consumables for project support.
  • Communication: Notification to Project Managements/Internal stakeholders and customers of equipment delivery and shipping.
  • Travel: Travel to other locations to support the logistics needs (mainly Netherlands).
  • Additional Tasks: Any other tasks as directed assigned by the Global Logistics Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of Warehouse and Logistics experience. 2+ years' experience in Satellite communication industry.
  • Skills: Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and make recommendations to meet those needs. Ability to ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and Company HSE system is adhered to.
  • Technical Skills: PC experience in a Windows operating environment with strong typing ability. ERP system experience would be nice to have.
  • Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skill in English. Able to work proactively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Soft Skills: Highly motivated with the ability to work alone in the field and cope with tight deadlines. Customer Focus. Demonstrated success in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
