Job Description

Role: Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Remote

Salary: £80 - £95 per day

About the Role:

We are seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and provide support to help them manage their behaviour and improve their academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in managing their behaviour and improving their academic outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to support the SEMH needs of students.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in creating a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behaviour management plans.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques or willingness to learn.
  • It is desired (although not essential) that applicants have a qualification in Team Teach and experience in dealing with young people who have SEMH needs.
