Job Details

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to oversee the 3D Capture and Smart Technologies team.

The team delivers cutting-edge technologies to support AWE's core mission, including reverse engineering, model-based inspection, and large volume metrology.

As the Technical Lead, you will be responsible for managing team members' welfare, performance, and development, ensuring staff training is up-to-date, and recruiting and developing team members.

You will also be responsible for liaising with customers and stakeholders, owning the team order book, and building collaborative links within the Applied Engineering Group and with industry/academic partners.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering theory and practice, experience of managing small engineering projects, and a good knowledge of Quality Systems.

They will also have strong organisational and critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, and a technical background in engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:
