Job Description

**Job Title:** Accommodation Team Leader

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accommodation Team Leader to join our team at Suedheide Geniessen. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of accommodation staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with Senior Management: Work closely with our Senior Management team to ensure the team has the necessary resources to fulfill their tasks.
  2. Staffing and Recruitment: Collaborate with Senior Management to produce and use reports and plans to determine staffing requirements.
  3. Employee Onboarding: Be involved in the interviewing and recruitment process for new employees, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  4. Operative Holidays: Monitor and manage operative holidays to ensure minimal disruption to our operations.
  5. Work Programs: Produce scheduled and ad-hoc work programs to ensure efficient service delivery.
  6. Workload Prioritization: Prioritize the workload of the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  7. Maintenance and Security: Monitor the efficiency and organize the maintenance of vehicles and machinery, ensuring they are secure when not in use.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers and Senior Management on work-related issues.
  2. Employee Absences: Communicate with Senior Management on employee absences.
  3. Supplier Communication: Communicate regularly with suppliers.
  4. Quality Assurance: Monitor work in line with inspection programs and quality assurance methods.
  5. Service Improvements: Make recommendations on improvements to our services.
  6. Timesheets: Ensure the completion of workforce timesheets.
  7. Quotations: Provide quotations for services.
  8. Environmental Standards: Support the maintenance of Environmental Standards and compliance with relevant regulations.
Health and Safety:
  1. Health and Safety Policy: Act in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act and Glendale's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  2. Instructions and Procedures: Carry out instructions from Senior Management per Glendale's Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice, Quality Management Systems, and Employee Handbook.
  3. Health and Safety Knowledge: Be knowledgeable of Health and Safety regulations within your workplace and the activities you are carrying out.
  4. Induction and Training: Ensure you have completed the necessary induction and health and safety modules before commencing work.
  5. Personal Responsibility: Be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others in your working environment.
  6. Safe Working Practices: Promote safe working practices at all times and ensure all equipment is safe to use.
Machine Maintenance and Security:
  1. Machinery Suitability: Ensure you have knowledge of the suitability of all machinery/equipment used per the task you are doing and it is safe to use.
  2. Machinery Handbook: Ensure the correct use of all machinery/equipment per its handbook.
  3. Machinery Defects: Report any machinery/equipment that does not operate correctly to Senior Management and complete a defect tag.
  4. Maintenance Sheets: Ensure that any check/maintenance sheets are completed and passed to Senior Management.
  5. Machinery Security: Ensure that all machinery/equipment is secured at all times (when not in use).
Quality and Customer Care:
  1. Task Awareness: Ensure you are aware of your tasks and targets for each day and ensure you are fully aware of the standard required for each task.
  2. Work Output: Monitor and maintain your work output to a satisfactory level and standard.
  3. Customer Interaction: Ensure you and any lower-graded staff conduct yourself in a polite and friendly manner at all times.
  4. Administration: Ensure that any associated administration is completed and returned to the office within the required timescales.
Environmental:
  1. Environmental Impact: Ensure you operate your duties in a way that minimizes our impact upon the environment.
  2. Spillages: Ensure that any spillage of fuels or chemicals is dealt with quickly and efficiently and per the regulations.

The above lists are not exhaustive and you may be required to undertake other duties as may be reasonably required by the company.

If you are unsure of any of the above items it is your responsibility to raise them with Senior Management.

The Team Leader will hold a full, clean UK driving license.

Qualifications:
  1. Horticultural Qualification: It is desirable to hold a horticultural qualification and/or demonstrable experience in a horticultural or grounds maintenance environment.
  2. Practical Qualification: A recognized practical qualification such as in chainsaw/pesticide is desirable.
  3. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance is essential.
Personal Characteristics:
  1. Initiative and Self-Motivation: A high level of initiative and self-motivation is required.
  2. Relationship-Building Skills: Strong relationship-building skills coupled with excellent communication skills are essential.

THE CONDITIONS:

**Reporting to:** Playground and Project Manager

**Location:** Milton Keynes

**Grade:** N/A

**Remuneration:** £30,811.00

**Pension:** NEST auto-enrolment after 3 months

**Annual Leave:** 28 days paid leave including 8 statutory bank holidays; 30 days paid leave including 8 statutory bank holidays after 5 years of service.

**Notice Period:** 1 month
