Job Description

Biosynth is seeking a skilled Communications/Marketing Specialist to join our team in Compton, Berkshire. This role will cover maternity leave and has the potential to become a permanent position, covering wider aspects of marketing including social media, digital support, events, and other marketing support tasks.

The successful applicant will be an excellent writer, listener, and researcher, acting as a company journalist. Key responsibilities include generating content for internal newsletters, corporate communications, and whitepapers, as well as meeting with and interviewing operational and technical leads across the global organization to generate engaging and informative content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a content strategy to engage and inform internal and external stakeholders
  • Generate high-quality content for internal newsletters, corporate communications, and whitepapers
  • Meet with and interview operational and technical leads to generate engaging and informative content
  • Collect success stories and prepare them for internal and external audiences
  • Research key industry issues and trends and prepare reports
  • Write company content for the website, blog, and social media channels
  • Collaborate with scientific and technical writers to generate whitepapers and insights into key areas
  • Work with senior stakeholders to create corporate external communications, including press releases and associated corporate communications

Candidate Requirements

  • BA level education desirable but not essential
  • Experience of writing content for online or print is essential
  • Experience of working in a marketing department (B2B preferred) would be beneficial
  • Advantageous to have experience working within corporate communications or journalism
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to write engaging content to a high standard
  • Good team working skills and the ability to collaborate with others
  • Good IT awareness and skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A flexible, can-do attitude
  • A proactive and creative thinker
