The successful candidate will hold a relevant Fire Safety qualification and have experience working in a development/fire prevention role in the Fire Service.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing expert advice to University staff and tenants on fire safety compliance.
  2. Maintaining effective liaison with Local Authority and GMFRS personnel to ensure fire safety requirements are met.
  3. Collaborating with internal and external design teams to develop fire safety strategies for building projects.
  4. Working with the Principal Building Surveyor to develop fire strategies and physical fire precautions.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE).
  2. Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate).

The ideal candidate will have relevant knowledge and skills through working experience in the provision of fire advice on development work and maintenance work.
