Our client, a prominent international business, is looking for an experienced Meat Acquisition Specialist to handle the procurement of large quantities of raw meat and seafood.

This role requires you to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers in the UK and abroad, negotiating purchasing contracts and agreements to ensure consistent and large volumes of meat are acquired. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing supplier negotiations, forecasting stock levels, and handling order tracking and customs documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and reviewing purchasing contracts and agreements.
  • Conducting research and ensuring compliance with food and customs regulations.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Meat Buyer or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of purchasing large meat volumes - circa upwards of 5 tons per day.
  • Considerable experience in meat (ideally seafood) purchasing.
  • Familiarity with food and customs regulations.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the meat industry and be able to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best deals.
