About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Royal Mail's Midlands Parcel Super Hub. As a key member of our critical engineering maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art parcel processing facility.

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems, mechanical power, and control wiring, as well as test inspection of electrical installations. You will work on multiple FM systems, with the majority of the work being electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of electrical systems, including plumbing and general building fabric repairs.
  • Supply knowledge in technical situations, making personal judgments on how to undertake work to achieve quality, cost, and time objectives.
  • Delivery of Corrective and Planned Maintenance to meet performance measures.
  • Manage relationships with customers, ensuring they are fully informed and project a positive professional image of self and Royal Mail P&FS.

Requirements:

  • Electrical certification, such as the 18th Edition.
  • Planned maintenance experience of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to analyse and understand technical issues in relation to electrical systems.
  • IPAF and MEWP training and qualification, with comfort working at heights.
  • Experience of dealing with customers in a commercial environment.
  • Computer literacy skills and a full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential).
