Shipyard Technician

We are seeking a skilled Shipyard Technician to join our team at Todd Hayes Ltd, based in Lowestoft.

This is a full-time opportunity with working hours of Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30, and a one-hour lunch break.

Overtime may be available at enhanced rates.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will carry out repairs to fast rescue craft and marine equipment onboard our fleet of Emergency Response and Rescue vessels and/or in-house repair workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance and repairs to marine engines and equipment.
• Ensure safe and efficient shipboard repairs, keeping accurate records up to date.
• Provide technical support and assistance as required.

Requirements:

• A marine or general engineering background/qualification is essential.
• Good understanding of petrol 2/4 stroke engines or diesel engines.
• Knowledge/experience of 12-volt electrics and/or the marine industry.
• Computer literate.
• Full driving license.
