Lift Equipment Servicing Technician

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Lift Equipment Servicing Technician to join our team based in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance regimes as determined by the contract terms to on portfolio lift/escalator equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures.
- Rectify and reduce faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
- Check the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
- Carry out the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures. Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentation.
- Carry out site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills.
- Work in accordance with the Company's Safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements, as well as setting a personal example of safe behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent.
- Willingness to Work towards Schindler Certification Level 3 Red.
- Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including Multi-Brand equipment.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and within efficiencies.
- The ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
- Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors).
