About the Role
Hartford Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and provide exceptional food experiences for our residents. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen service, team members, and ensuring the highest standards of food hygiene and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs and preferences of our residents
- Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure excellent service delivery
- Ensure the kitchen is well-organized, efficient, and compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for our residents
- Monitor and control kitchen budgets, inventory, and supplies to ensure optimal resource utilization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest culinary trends, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve our food offerings
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a similar setting
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
