Systematic Trading Book Lead

Shell is seeking an experienced trading professional to lead our Systematic Trading team within Commodities Derivatives Trading (CDT) business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic direction, driving P&L growth, and identifying key risks associated with running the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Electronic Market Making (EMM) strategies at scale across multiple commodities and exchanges.
  • Develop and implement new algorithmic execution strategies for use by CDT and the wider Trading and Supply business.
  • Monitor and oversee the day-to-day operation of systematic platforms and strategies, ensuring optimal performance and profitability.
  • Comply with all internal and external regulatory guidelines, including MIFID II & RTS6, and Shell control frameworks, business principles, and Shell Ethics & Compliance manual.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in systematic risk-taking.
  • Exceptional knowledge of the systematic trading landscape and exchange connectivity.
  • Understanding of programming languages and FIX protocols.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and oral, for team management and reporting to senior leaders.
