About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Senior Telephone Support Specialist. As a key member of our Telephone Friendship Service, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting our volunteers and older members across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our volunteers and older members through regular phone calls and email support.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of our Telephone Friendship Service, including scheduling calls, managing volunteer and member relationships, and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies to promote the service and engage with our target audience.
  • Collaborate with our safeguarding team to ensure the safety and well-being of our members and volunteers.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers and older members.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on customer service and support.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, and to travel to our offices in Blackpool or Ashburton, Devon.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Passion for supporting older adults and commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
