Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality medical care to patients with eating disorders.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Eating Disorder Service, which provides specialist care to patients with complex mental health needs. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals and providing medical support to patients with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in providing medical care to patients with eating disorders
  • Provide specialist medical support to patients with eating disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with eating disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with eating disorders
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies for the Eating Disorder Service
Person Specification

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist who has:

  • Entry on the GMC Register
  • Approved clinician status
  • Section 12(2) Approval under the Mental Health Act
  • Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST

Experience in a relevant clinical area and evidence of knowledge of diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex mental illness are essential. Effective team working, leadership qualities, flexibility, and a driving license/ability to travel independently are also required.
