On-Call Firefighter Role

Suffolk County Council is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our emergency response service as On-Call Firefighters. As a vital part of our team, you will provide critical support to our communities, responding to fires, road traffic collisions, and other emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide fire and rescue services
  • Work collaboratively with other emergency services and teams
  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Live or work within 5-8 minutes of a fire station in Suffolk
  • Hold a full UK driving license and access to personal transport
  • Have a reasonable level of personal fitness
  • Be able to work well in a team and develop skills independently
