Job Opportunity: Residential Care Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at CareTech UK. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to young people in our residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times
• Foster ambition and assist young people in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential
• Offer support in educational pursuits and help young individuals develop their skills and knowledge
• Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews, and other meetings as directed by the line manager
• Empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future
• Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion
• Encourage community engagement, attend off-site activities, and expand their personal social networks
• Meet the needs of children and young people, organize social activities, and maintain the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)

Requirements:

• Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
• Full UK driving license preferable
• No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people
• Attendance at a 2-week training program required
• Must have availability for sleep-in shifts
