Laboratory Research Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Infectious Disease team at Manchester Science Park. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory activities in the design and development of our product range under ISO13485 and ISO9001 quality systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing laboratory work to a high standard with good attention to detail, following laboratory SOPs.
- Accurate documentation of laboratory work.
- Updates to laboratory SOPs as directed by supervisor(s).
- Ensuring own work meets quality requirements; including compliance to SOPs, documentation using electronic lab books, study plans, study reports and integrity of data.
What You'll Need
- A degree in a life science subject such as molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics.
- Preferably hands-on experience and a basic understanding of laboratory techniques, especially those used in Molecular Biology.
- Experience of using bioinformatics tools as part of assay design would be a bonus.
- Good organisational skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Competitive Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including competitive salary, pension scheme, and opportunities for career development.
