Job Title: Application Manager

Optoma Europe Ltd is seeking an experienced Application Manager to join our team. As an Application Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of application development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with software vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and integrate off-the-shelf applications.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of application development projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Coordinate resources, manage risks, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for application development, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
  • Implement processes and procedures for managing changes to applications, including software updates, patches, enhancements, and migrations.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of applications, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience of testing software, reviewing code created by other team members and actively contributing to the continuous improvement ethos within the team.
  • Capability to take an active and supportive role in managing and helping colleagues learn new features and techniques.
  • High technical understanding of IT systems and interface methods.
  • An ability to motivate, collaborate with, and lead others with a successful track record in providing direction and managing performance of staff.
