Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Packing Operator to join our team at Axalta's Wellingborough facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and packing products to meet planned volumes and targets in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble packaging components and pack finished goods, replenishing components on filling and packing lines as needed.
- Operate packaging equipment after training and demonstrating the required competence level, supporting the team to deliver consistent results.
- Record and monitor packing data in terms of output and adherence to plan.
- Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping and participate in daily briefings, actively contributing to safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
- Have a sound knowledge of systems and procedures, carrying out all work in a safe manner and reporting any issues via the appropriate system.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of the business and where the supply chain and packing operations fit as part of the business strategy.
Requirements:
- The candidate must be competent in numeracy to read and understand numbers, work orders, safety documentation, filling records, interpret and manipulate data where required.
- Physical dexterity, ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely.
- Experience in chemical filling & packing industry.
- Good verbal communication and teamwork skills to work with colleagues to achieve individual and team targets, good problem-solving skills.
