Job Title: Adaptation Building Surveyor


About the Role:


We are seeking a skilled Adaptation Building Surveyor to join our team at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Carry out surveys of people's homes to assess major adaptations and improvements for access and safety.
  • Manage and monitor projects through various stages, including planning, building regulations, procurement, and quality control.
  • Act as contract administrator, preparing specifications, documents, and risk assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, council departments, and other agencies to ensure projects are progressed at pace and to budget.

Requirements:



  • Experience in residential surveying and contract management, preferably in a housing association or local authority.
  • Insight into the needs of disabled adults and a good understanding of contract administration.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, along with a good level of empathy.
  • CAD skills and a related technical or professional qualification in building or surveying (Minimum HNC or equivalent).
