Job Summary:

Universally Speaking Limited is seeking a highly skilled Linguistic Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team of game testers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of in-game text, applications, and user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough linguistic quality assurance checks on games and applications to identify and report linguistic bugs and errors.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that localization testing effectively supports all features of the project.
  • Develop and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle, including documenting testing practices and reporting methods.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in linguistic quality assurance, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in linguistic quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Japanese and strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Passion for video games and a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, database handling, and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
  • Previous experience in linguistic quality assurance, translation, or proofreading is an asset.
