About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ESOL Lecturer to join our team at Wiltshire College & University Centre. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in supporting adult learners in developing their English language skills for everyday life, employment, and further education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality ESOL sessions tailored to students' individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assess and track learners' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring that courses remain relevant and effective in meeting learner needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to enhance the overall student experience.
Requirements
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • A Level 5 (or above) ESOL/TEFL qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in teaching ESOL to adults in a Further Education or community setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on student-centered learning.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, with the ability to engage and support learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
