Job Title: Audio Project Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Audio Project Design Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing in-development and in-production parts and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and conduct digital and physical layout checks for audio components, such as speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and other infotainment systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners to manage tuning parameters and implement them into unit configuration data.
  • Conduct checks in production facilities to ensure fitment and production efficiency.
  • Perform design reviews at key milestones to ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Achieve annual cost reduction targets.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing plant when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing BOM management (advantageous).
  • Proficient in Office 365 tools (including intermediate/advanced Excel skills).
  • Demonstrate practical experience in problem-solving tools and techniques, with a strong mathematical foundation.
  • Experience in speaker and audio components design, including wiring and vehicle tuning.
  • Knowledge of vehicle communication networks, such as CAN, LIN, and A2B.
  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical/electronic architectures.
  • Experience in supplier management, particularly in audio-related fields (desirable).
  • Proficient in vehicle layout skills and knowledge of Teamcentre/NX CAD (desirable).
Hours & Pay:

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Hourly rate: £29.00 p/h.
