Widener University is seeking a dynamic faculty member to join its School of Nursing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Psych/Mental Health Nursing and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

Job Summary

The School of Nursing is committed to fostering an inclusive community and is seeking a faculty member who can contribute to this mission. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, a current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse, and at least three years of academic teaching experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver evidence-based teaching strategies for undergraduate nursing curricula
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop, review, and revise curricula
  • Mentor and advise students
  • Participate in student recruitment and engagement
  • Contribute to the creation of an environment that promotes diversity, inclusivity, growth, equality, and freedom of speech
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current Multistate Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Pennsylvania RN licensure
  • Three years of academic teaching experience
  • A minimum of three years of practice as a registered nurse in Psych/Mental Health Nursing
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and collaboration
