Governance Officer Role

The Bath & Wells Diocesan Academies Trust is seeking an experienced Governance Officer to support the effective governance of our schools. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising Trust Local Committees on the delivery of their core functions and ensuring they operate in line with national guidance and Trust policies.

Key Responsibilities

Advising Trust Local Committees on governance matters
Organising meetings and collating papers
Creating professional minutes and maintaining records
Governor recruitment and induction
Attendance at team meetings and Governance Professional briefings

Working Arrangements

The majority of duties can be undertaken flexibly from home, with planned meeting dates set each summer. Travel to schools for meetings will be required, although a hybrid approach to Trust Local Committee meetings is available. Support and training will be provided both online and in person.
