Job Title: Regional Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Commercial Manager to lead our MEP commercial function in the Midlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of our projects, managing subcontractors, and overseeing financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement and Compliance: Ensure MEP subcontractors and suppliers meet safety and quality standards, comply with financial requirements, and are procured on time.
  • Financial Oversight: Complete and discuss monthly MEP Monthly Cost Reports with the Construction Commercial function, and regularly consult with the MEP Regional Commercial Director on recovery strategies.
  • Profit Monitoring: Agree on MEP project profit plans and stretch profit plans, and monitor these throughout the procurement and construction processes.
  • Leadership and Liaison: Demonstrate leadership, uphold Wates values, and ensure MEP commercial staff understand and follow the Code of Conduct.
Requirements:
  • Excellent commercial acumen and strong financial skills.
  • Logical approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Commitment to accurate and timely financial reporting, developing, and nurturing the MEP commercial team.
  • Adept at managing subcontractor expectations fairly and effectively.
  • Strong negotiation skills to influence the supply chain and colleagues for the most beneficial outcomes.
