Management Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Michael Page in Reading. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for a leading business in the consultancy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, and prepare and present monthly financial statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis to understand differences between actual and forecasted financial performance, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, and contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to improve financial performance, and support the audit process by providing necessary information and explanations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, proficiency in financial software and MS Office, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and presentation skills.
