Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join our specialist college. This is a full-time, permanent position working term time only, offering great work-life balance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment in line with the college's ethos. You will assist in planning and implementing individual and group educational programs under the direction of the Lead Tutor or Centre Manager. Your primary objective will be to support students in achieving their individual educational goals, contributing to the development of their overall learning plans. Additionally, you will facilitate student mobility, including assisting with moving furniture and equipment as required. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders. You will be required to maintain confidentiality and adhere to our safeguarding policies at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., special education, education, social work)
  • Experience working with young adults aged 19 and over
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and delivery principles
  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities

Estimated Salary Range: £34,000 - £42,500 per year, depending on experience.
