About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead our new development in Barnstable. As a key member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for managing the entire construction cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met, and the development is built to Company and NHBC standards.

You will be based on site and report to the Construction Manager, successfully managing all aspects of the building site, including health and safety issues, trades and material coordination, site presentation, and cost control.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail. If you have a passion for construction and a proven track record of delivering successful projects, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met and the development is built to Company and NHBC standards.
  • Lead a team of site staff, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Coordinate trades and materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, specialists, and in-house teams to achieve critical objectives.
Requirements
  • Black or white CSCS card.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme.
  • Proven experience in Site Management, preferably in Residential Apartments, Retirement Living, Extra-Care Homes, or student accommodation.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and a qualified First Aider at Work.
  • Assertive and calm under pressure, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
