Teaching Assistant Opportunity

The New Guild Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Alexandra Junior School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to students, focusing on primary pedagogy and development.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting academic achievement and social growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective records of student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach, sharing best practices and expertise.
  • Utilize technology to enhance learning experiences, staying up-to-date with the latest educational tools and resources.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of primary education principles and practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Confident in using technology to support learning, with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Secure knowledge of phonics and literacy principles, with a passion for supporting student learning.
