Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker Coach

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Worker Coach to join our team at Pearson - UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to provide high-quality training, complete assessments, and offer constructive feedback to learners, ensuring they achieve the Diploma and L3 Apprenticeship standard of Senior Healthcare Support Worker.

About the Role:

  • Arrange visits with learners and line managers to induct, observe, and progress learners in the workplace.
  • Assess learner work in the virtual classroom/workplace within set timeframes and achieve targets.
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners on their qualification.
  • Observe learners in the workplace against awarding body criteria and give feedback.
  • Ensure own assessments are accurate and verified.
  • Carry out reviews with learners and line managers, submitting paperwork within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor learner progress and liaise with the Programme Manager for qualification/standards achievement.
  • Identify situations requiring absence from the programme and complete/submit accurate paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, including paper/electronic portfolios.
  • Complete visits to other sites and locations as required.
  • Maintain positive relations with learners, line managers, and stakeholders.
  • Help participants develop positive attitudes towards learning and studying.
  • Attend standardization and team meetings as required.

Key Relationships:

  • Maintain effective working relationships with learners and line managers.
  • Communicate effectively with your line manager, highlighting issues prior to becoming critical.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with Pearson TQ customers, promoting a positive image.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven IAG, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience of the Ofsted inspection framework.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work under own supervision.

Essential Experience:

  • Sector Specific qualification – minimum L3 NVQ/Diploma in Healthcare with clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated effective learner programme management.
  • Good written skills for detailed feedback and target setting.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
