**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the role of Principal Designer on a wide range of projects, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Advise clients and project teams on health and safety matters, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Conduct design risk assessments and manage health and safety files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver CDM workshops and training sessions, educating clients and project teams on health and safety best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Manage and coordinate health and safety during the pre-construction phase, providing expert advice and guidance.

**Requirements**

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Background in construction or design-related discipline.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and coordinate health and safety files.
