Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Caretaker to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a School Caretaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily inspections of the premises to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of the school buildings, including classrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, or coordinate with external contractors as needed.
  • Manage security procedures, including locking and unlocking buildings, monitoring CCTV systems, and responding to alarms or security concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and health and safety inspections.
  • Assist with facilities-related projects and renovations as directed by school leadership.
  • Provide support during special events or emergencies, such as snow removal or building maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong practical skills in maintenance, repairs, and facilities management.
  • Excellent organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
