Overview:


Contract Scotland is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team on a high-profile project in the North of Scotland. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of health and safety policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a proactive safety culture on-site.


Key Responsibilities:



  1. Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems
  2. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  3. Provide expert advice on health and safety matters, including safe equipment use and emergency procedures
  4. Oversee and deliver health and safety training and induction programmes for employees and subcontractors
  5. Monitor and report on health and safety performance to senior management and stakeholders

Requirements:



  1. Degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field
  2. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety
  3. Proven experience in a health and safety management role within civil engineering, particularly on large-scale infrastructure projects
  4. Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards in the construction sector
