Job Title: Regulatory Expert

The purpose of this role is to provide regulatory expertise as part of the Technical Specifications programme, supporting subject matter experts to ensure specifications are compliant with global regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine and document regulatory requirements of liquid ingredients, raw materials, and packaging components, considering global regulations.
  • Define regulatory parameters for all specifications, taking into account global standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and document brand parameters for all specifications.
  • Determine, define, and document supplier information requirements to ensure regulatory and food safety data is fit for purpose.
  • Provide regulatory expertise to SMEs to support in the development of technical specifications.
  • Conduct regular horizon scanning for changes to regulations impacting liquid ingredients, raw materials, and packaging components at a global level.
  • Support analysis of risks and opportunities posed by changing regulations and make recommendations to ensure specifications are future-proofed.
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks essential, with experience in other jurisdictions preferred.
  • Analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to review data with internal and external stakeholders and drive decisions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, relationship-building, and project management skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in a relevant technical subject (Food Science, Science, or Engineering).
  • 5 years' experience in a regulatory role in the alcoholic beverage, food, or packaging industry.
Salary:

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
