We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at Howdens Joinery. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for safely manufacturing a range of panels to the correct quality specification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing machine pre-use safety checks
  • Setting up the machine/process in accordance with the specific Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Monitoring of the machine during production
  • Producing confirmations on the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Performing detailed process quality checks in accordance with the area SOP
  • Changing tooling and performing minor adjustments to the agreed housekeeping standards

Requirements:

  • Production and/or manufacturing experience working in a fast-paced factory environment
  • Ability to read and understand manual handling risk assessments and SOPs
  • Background in edge banding technology and/or CNC cutting/drilling
  • Wood machining experience
