We are seeking an exceptional Data Science Engineer to join our team at Amazon Digital UK Limited, working on the development of cutting-edge video quality analysis and enhancement solutions. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to designing, building, and deploying scalable data-driven systems that enable Prime Video to deliver high-quality content to millions of customers worldwide.

Job Overview

This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract position, offering a unique opportunity to work on complex technical challenges and collaborate with world-leading experts in the field of machine learning and computer vision. Your primary responsibility will be to develop advanced algorithms and models that can detect and predict video defects, ensuring seamless customer experiences across various devices and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement deep learning-based detectors using computer vision and machine learning techniques
  • Develop and deploy large-scale data processing pipelines to support model training, optimization, and experimentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into production environments
  • Contribute to statistical analysis and mathematical modeling to improve algorithmic performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience, including object-oriented design and programming
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying MLOps at scale, preferably with transformer-based architectures (GenAI)
  • Familiarity with Java, C++, or C# and experience with full software development life cycle
