We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Cambridge Regional Trials Team as an Agronomy Assistant.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of agronomy in the delivery of field trials and demonstration plots across various crop species, including combinable and horticultural crops, sugar beet, potatoes, maize, and novel crops.

Main duties will include seed preparation, drilling, monitoring, spraying, harvest, processing, and storage of material for future use. The role can be physically demanding, requiring regular manual handling of items up to 25kg.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct seed preparation, drilling, and monitoring activities
  • Perform spraying, harvest, processing, and storage tasks
  • Participate in trial design, execution, and data analysis
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of crop species, agricultural practices, and equipment operation
