A prestigious consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Designer to provide comprehensive design and health and safety services across various projects.

The successful candidate will work within a dedicated team of professionals, collaborating to deliver Principal Designer services while ensuring compliance with CDM regulations.

The successful Principal Designer will
  • Collaborate closely with the team to deliver Principal Designer services.
  • Work on a diverse range of projects, from small-scale residential developments to large commercial ventures.
  • Engage with clients, designers, and contractors to provide expert advice on health and safety risk management.
  • Manage the pre-construction phase, including the preparation of pre-construction information and design risk assessments.
  • Lead CDM workshops and contribute to the development of design safety strategies.
To be considered for the role of Principal Designer, candidates should have
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
  • A strong background in construction design and management, with specific experience in delivering Principal Designer services.
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Ideally a membership in a relevant professional body, such as IOSH or APS.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
