Job Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 HGV driver to join our team at Quality Service Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle on behalf of the local council within the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and transport refuse to designated disposal sites
  • Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform manual handling tasks to aid in the collection and disposal of refuse

Shifts and Working Hours

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts on bank holiday weekends. Shifts will commence at 0600 hours and will average 8-9 hours in duration.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Class 2 C entitlement driving license
  • CPC entitlement
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor traffic offenses

Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of £15.11 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half for any hours worked in excess of 9.5 hours per shift.
