We are seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Controller to join our team at Silver Arrow Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day activities of our HGV workshop.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate the workflow of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of HGVs, working closely with our team of technicians to ensure high standards of quality are met.
- Personally inspect and test vehicles to ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability.
- Train and develop our team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Proven experience in managing a commercial vehicle workshop, with a track record of effective team leadership and workshop administration.
- Extensive experience in HGV maintenance and repair, with a proven ability to perform complex mechanical tasks.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Level 3 City and Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
