Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Buffalo Rock Company. As a key member of our Central Hub, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, receiving, and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and verify inbound product matching to BOLs, verifying dates of product to prevent short-dated issues, and verifying outbound pallets through the Vertique system to ensure correct loading.
  • Load product from the Vertique line and pallet picks onto outbound trailers, complete and verify cycle counts, and analyze inventory reports.
  • Maintain proper function of machines through intermediate problem-solving skills and logic, including simple data manipulation.
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly physical inventory counts as needed and investigate and resolve inventory variances.
  • Remove pallets from palletizers and staging areas and load into correct doors by trailer/route #.
  • Receiver - Ability to read POs, run receiving labels (LBI), verify receipt versus BOL, and close out POs.
  • Receiver - Must be able to utilize VPI to verify inbound appointment requests to schedule inbound POs.
  • Handstack - Placing top-off cases on pallets, ensuring accuracy and integrity of pallets before they run through the palletizer, and troubleshooting any palletizer issues while following all safety guidelines.
  • Sanitation - Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and building.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • 3+ years warehouse experience preferred
  • Intermediate Computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer: Required.
  • Must have at least 1 year experience with a WMS application, or similar system functionality (Red Prairie, SAP, Manhattan, for example), and be able to perform receiving, shipping, and inventory control functions within the system.
  • Must have 3+ years of forklift experience, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
  • Must have prior experience with manual loading and unloading of product in high-volume work environments.
  • Experience working in an automated environment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Personal Computers and basic use of Windows environment required.
  • Ability to read product packaging and communicate in English via radio.
Work Environment

Working conditions will require both inside warehouse needs and outside pallet/tray production support. Temperature conditions will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.
