Job Summary

The North Hub Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) is seeking a qualified mental health nurse to support a Band 6 depot nurse in running the Depot Clinic at Northcroft. This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified staff or students on their final university placement to gain valuable experience and develop their skills under the supervision of a senior nurse.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acting as an independent practitioner within a defined community setting, liaising with other professionals as necessary.
  • Managing a caseload of clients prescribed IM medication, providing supervision to others as appropriate.
  • Evaluating nursing care within agreed parameters, having a working knowledge of local, national policies, and legislation governing current service provision and audit.
  • Ensuring effective communication pathways exist and promoting equality, diversity, and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation.
  • Identifying and contributing to the training needs necessary in providing quality evidence-based care.

  • Qualifications in mental health nursing.
  • Post-qualification experience in a relevant setting.
