Job Title: KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in Plymouth. As a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex needs, promoting their educational and personal development, and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, assisting with their educational and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and tailored lessons that cater to the unique needs of students.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to implement personalized support plans for students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior, contributing to comprehensive assessments and reports.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience in a mainstream school.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in different educational settings.
